GOD'S GLORY

Good morning to you on this
blessed but dark Monday morning!

It is so hard to get used to it being dark so late in the morning. It is twenty minutes to eight and just starting to get light. Ugh! When you get up at seven a.m. it seems as though it is the middle of the night. But we will get used to it and it will get light earlier a little each day.
Oh, but the beginning of the spring time. I can hear the birds chirping even in the dark. The poor dear birds are starving at my house because I know the feeders are empty. That is the first thing on my to-do list this morning when I finish this blog.

We do go through dark times in our lives some time or another. And some times may even be darker than others. But with God by our side we can reach the other side.
"The Bible never guarantees a life free from suffering. But the dark moments of our life last only as long as necessary for God to accomplish His purposes. The Lord uses trials, difficulty, and pain to equip us for more effective service to Him. As you and I continue to trust and obey Him, God uses hardship to develop the character of Christ within us," says Dr. Charles Stanley.

God uses dark times to accomplish His purposes. Wow! As much as we don't want to go through rough times, we should always want God to accomplish His will in our lives. And if it includes trials, etc. then so be it. Now don't think that I want bad things to happen. Of course, I don't. But God knows what is best for us and we should be thrilled in however He uses us.

Look what happened to Job or Jacob. Both of them went through it. And came out the better for all they endured. God blessed them awesomely in the end. But remember they never cursed God. They trusted and obeyed through it all.

Is it possible for us to do the same? To trust and obey and praise God all the way through a trial. Well, if they can do it, we can do it. God is no respecter of persons.

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons...
Acts 10:34

We just need to trust and obey and seek God's face through it all. It isn't easy by any means but as long as we pursue God and trust that He will help us every step of the way, we will eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Remember God is faithful. He is awesome and HE is bigger than all the fiery darts the evil one can throw at us. God is good all the time.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23

So, when we go through a rough time, be faithful to God, pray without ceasing, read His Word and meditate on it, don't give up even when it seems impossible. Trust God to lead you through these times, and He will do amazing things in you and through you, and then you can give God all the glory.
Have a great and awesome day!

Les
