THE LITTLE CHILDREN

Good morning on this great new
day, the second day of spring!

I pray that all is well with you. I do want to start out by thanking you, my readers, so much for reading this blog that the Lord has blessed me with. There would be no point in doing this if someone didn't read it. And I truly believe God is using me to help someone. Only He will know who that might be. I hope and pray that God is blessing you somehow and some way through this.

Well, this Sunday is Palm Sunday. I just love it when the children at church walk up and down the aisles waving palm branches as the choir sings Hosanna! It just blesses my heart. You know, if a church doesn't have children they are kind of sunk, so to speak. The children are the future of the church. That certainly doesn't mean that they run the church. It means that we as their elders must be a witness to them. We must be good examples of how a Christian acts and how we should act in church and in life. We also are to teach them in the ways of the Lord. And we also should discipline them. As I said they are our future as the church.

The secret things belong to the Lord
our God, but the things revealed
belong to us and to our children
forever, that we may follow
all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 29:29

Whoever spares the rod hates their
children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.
Proverbs 13:24

Their children, who do not know this
law, must hear it and learn to fear the
Lord your God as long as you live in the
land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
Deuteronomy 31:13

People were also bringing babies to Jesus
for him to place his hands on them. When
the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom
of God belongs to such as these. Truly I
tell you, anyone who will not receive
the kingdom of God like a little
child will never enter it.”
Luke 18:15-17

And last but not least:

Train up a child in the way he
should go, and when he is old
he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

If we love our children we need to do these things. Not just as parents or grandparents but as a church family, we need to be the loving and teaching example of how God wants us to be.

I guarantee that a lot of the children, not all of them, that act out and get in trouble are the ones who are not disciplined at home. They get in trouble at school and at home no one cares and they get to do whatever they want. I have seen it in school when I was working there for 12 years.

Anyway, let's do our part and pray for the children of the world, our country, our schools, and our churches. Pray that God will raise up a generation of young people who love and serve the Lord. Loving and serving the One True God is not old fashioned or out of style. It is the only way to go in this worldly world we live in. Let's stand up for what is right in a godly way and be an example to those around us, especially our children.

And let's worship our Lord God in a way that glorifies Him and lifts Him up only!

Have a awesome day!
