HIS COMPASSION
Good morning to you!
How are you this fine day? I am at a women's retreat. It has been awesome and I praise God for the great things He does. His compassions are new every morning.
When we drove up to Sevierville today we came through Townsend, TN. There was snow all over the mountains and then in Wears Valley there was snow. It was so pretty. It is not necessarily the fastest way to get there but it is by far the prettiest. We ate supper at Red Lobster since the place we are staying is right near there and we could walk. The air is very cool and crisp and it is supposed to be much warmer tomorrow and the sun is supposed to shine bright all day. I am excited for that. When we come to this retreat every year it seems to always be raining.
But God is so awesome and wonderful and is so faithful. His compassions are new every morning.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
Lamentations 3:22-24
God will fill you to overflowing with Himself if you will let Him. Just wait for Him. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. If we would only keep our eyes on Him and not focus on our troubles. It is so easy to focus on those things that weigh on our hearts. We should pray about them and give them to God, knowing that He is in control. And we should not take them back from Him. When we take them back, we are an indian-giver. Not really! But it is really hard not to take them back. I remember as a kid when we would give something away and try to take it back, that is what the other kids would call us. Anyway, when we give it to God, don't take it back. Let Him take care of it. He is faithful and loving and wants to help us with it. He wants to know that we trust Him. His compassions never fail.
Oh, my friend, God loves you. He sent His one and only Son to die on a cross for our sins. But Jesus defeated death by rising again. HE LIVES! HE LIVES!
I hope and pray that you believe that deep down in your heart. Just wait for Jesus and keep your eyes on Him.
Have a fantastic day!
