LOVE & FORGIVE

Rio de Janiero, Christ the Redeemer Statue, I have
been there on a mission trip. How awesome is that!

Hello! Good morning to you!

How are you this fine day? I pray that you had a great night. Several of us from church went to the nursing home to sing to the patients. How special it was! These people are so hungry for attention and the singing really perks them up. Even when they can't talk, some of them can sing. They know the words to the hymns. They smile and clap their hands and raise their hands. Oh, I just praise God for these folks. I suppose that some of them don't have anyone that comes to visit them. How sad is that?

I remember as a kid that my grandmother and my parents moved my great-grandmother to a nursing home near where we lived. Unfortunately, we didn't go visit her very often. I was just about 8 or 9 years old so I couldn't go alone but for a kid it was kind of scary anyway. Now I look back and that was so sad, that my mom didn't have time to go see her own grandmother very often. And when my grandmother got to where she was in a nursing home, I was 2200 miles from her. And that breaks my heart. I keep thinking that if I was closer and visited maybe she would have lived longer.

Well, we can't agonize over the past. We do what we have to do and have to move on and then try to do better the next time. God doesn't remember the things we do that we shouldn't. So, why should we. But that is hard. When we sin and ask forgiveness, he forgives and forgets.

Bear with each other and forgive one another
if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:13

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

“I, even I, am He who blots out your
transgressions for My own sake, and
I WILL NOT REMEMBER YOUR SINS."
Isaiah 43:25

"For I will forgive their iniquity,
and their sin I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.”
Jeremiah 31:34

"'For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness,
and their sins and their lawless deeds
I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.'”
 Hebrews 8:12

"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He REMOVED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS FROM US."
Psalm 103:12

Let's care for others and forgive where needed. God did the same for us!

Have a blessed day!

Les
