STUDY
Good morning on this beautiful Tuesday!
Hope your night was as good as mine. I am at my son and daughter-in-law's. We are getting ready for my oldest grandson's kindergarten graduation. It seems like only yesterday that I was holding him in my arms right after he was born.
He was reading a book to me yesterday afternoon. I was amazed to hear him read to me and he was telling me all about the state of Tennessee, the state bird, and state wild animal, the state flag and such. He was telling me the names of the states. Wow! They learn so much in kindergarten these days. It is not just play time anymore. And that is good because I heard that children learn more quickly during their early years than at any other time in life. Or something amazing like that anyway.
And the more we read and learn about God's Word, the more we know about God.
I give you sound learning, so do
not forsake my teaching.
Proverbs 4:2
Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;
teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.
Proverbs 9:9
They will, however, become subject to him, so that
they may learn the difference between serving
me and serving the kings of other lands.”
2 Chronicles 12:8
Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the
oppressed. Take up the cause of the
fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
Isaiah 1:17
Learning is so wonderful. And we live in a world with so much to learn. It is our own fault if we don't study something to learn.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
How do we learn and know the truth of God unless we study? We are never to young or too old to study and learn more than we already know especially about God. The more we learn about Him, the more we can be like Him. And that is our goal, to be more and more like Christ. We will never be Him and we will never be perfect as Christ, but we can try our best to be more like Him today than we were yesterday.
You can do it!
Have a blessed day!
