GOD'S BLESSINGS


Good morning to you on this bright sunshiny day!
In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be 
blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
Genesis 22:18

Do you ever feel you aren't blessed? All of us are blessed. You just may not realize it. God has blessed us with life. He has blessed us with our families whether we like them or not. Not all families are perfect. In some basic way they do love us. They just may not know how to love as God loves. And God loves us regardless of what we do or have done. And He is no respecter of person. In other words, He doesn't love one of us more or less than another but all the same. So, that is a blessing.

God has blessed us with a beautiful place to live. How could anyone not love the beauty of this part of God's country? God has blessed us with the air to breathe. And so much more. So, we are all blessed. I guess sometimes we just don't take the time to realize it. 

In the scripture above, God is talking to Abraham through an angel after he took Isaac to the mountain as a sacrificial lamb. All the nations of the earth shall be blessed after him because he obeyed God. And even though God did bring another sacrifice, Abraham did intend to sacrifice his son. He was being obedient to God.

When we obey God we will be blessed. Now as I said everyone is blessed already but I think that those blessings are a different kind of blessing. As we love and obey God more and more as we grow and mature in Him, He will bless us in spiritual ways that only Christians can enjoy. And Heaven is one of those. Unless you have Jesus living in your heart, Heaven is not going to be for you. I know this is a hard word but it is true. God's Word says it is. And I believe God's Word more than anything. I hope that you do also. 

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the 
mercies of God, that you present your bodies 
a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, 
which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:1 

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord 
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every 
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Ephesians 1:3

Let's give ourselves to God totally and completely as we live our lives for Him, knowing that He will bless us with every spiritual blessing.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
