THE STREETS OF GOLD

 
Good morning on this great Monday!

I pray that you had a blessed Mother's Day, Mother's! I sure did. My husband took me out to eat for Mother's Day on Saturday afternoon and then asked me what I wanted to eat on Sunday. He wanted to know everything. I finally figured out what I wanted and my husband cooked it for me and even did all the dishes after. He BBQ'ed chicken, sauteed fresh green beans and mushrooms, sweet potatoes, salad, and made homemade blackberry cobbler. The blackberries were the last that was left from our harvest last summer. It was delicious. I am so blessed by God to have a husband that cooks for me. He even got up early and made a homemade card for me. He found my white cardstock and used crayons. I love it!
 
Both of my children called. I called my step-mom, my sister, my second Mom in CA and my friends sent me Mother's Day texts. And then we had a great Mother's Day sermon at church. God blessed me with a wonderful day. The only thing better would have been if I could have actually been with my kids. I miss them so much.

And I miss my mom so much. God blessed me with a wonderful Mom but she is with Jesus. She died too young. But she is healed and dancing in the streets of gold with Jesus as her King. And she loved to dance.

So, the Bible verse tells us just a small, tiny part of what heaven will be like. It is comforting to know that God has prepared a mansion (a beautiful place) for us in heaven and that our loved ones who have gone on before us have a wonderful, beautiful place to live while they wait for us. I am ready to meet my Maker and I pray that you are also. God's Word says that we are to be ready, prepared and that we don't know the time or day. Only God knows that. So, let's be ready so that when Jesus comes back, we can dance on the streets of gold and live with Him for eternity.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
