FRESH START
Good morning!
How are you this fine day? I posted my blog yesterday morning but it didn't post and I didn't realize it until 9 PM last night. Ugh!! Forgive me, my friends!
My husband went to bed at 7 PM last evening. Poor guy! He was so tired. He hasn't been working so much at work. It is a little slow but at home he is painting and working so hard. He is redoing my deck and painting the house with the help of his guys, and I don't know what else he is planning on doing but I am loving it.
It's kind of like the plumber with leaky pipes in his home, and the chef who comes home from work and eats TV dinners. (Do they really do that or don't do that?) So, it is at my house: the painter's house that hasn't been painted in years. My poor husband works so hard physically at work all of the time, (as well as pastoring a church, and taking classes for that), that he doesn't have any more energy left to do it at home. I don't blame him.
But I am so excited to see how it will look when it is finished. So far it looks great. The color is different. It just looks so fresh and clean.
I want to be so fresh and clean also. I mean spiritually. I believe I have talked with you before about new beginnings. It is getting closer to the end of this year and the start of a new year where we can look forward to new beginnings, a new day, a new year.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21
So, here we go. We can be a new creature in Christ. He was the sin offering for us when He died on the cross. God has made us new through Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
We can be fresh and clean in Christ. If you don't know Him, today is the day of salvation. Start over and give your life to Him. Invite Jesus to come live in your heart, where He can make you brand new and make a new beginning for you.
Think about it! He is worthy!
Have a magnificent day!
