PROMISES


Good morning to you!
Are you ready for a new week? Did you have an awesome weekend? The trees have been gorgeous but they are losing their leaves pretty quick. I didn't get to go to the mountains to see the pretty leaves. I know people who did and they said it was awesome and amazing and beautiful. 

I asked my husband to make me a promise that next year he would take me to the mountains to see the changed leaves on the trees. Oh, I have seem them here in our area and it has been gorgeous. My luck would be that next year we would have different kind of weather and the leaves wouldn't be pretty or they would fall off the trees before peak of the fall leaves. Or my husband will forget and I will forget and we won't go see them next year.

You know we are human and sometimes we don't keep our promises. I know that we shouldn't make promises we can't keep but sometimes stuff happens. And our promises are not kept.

But with God when He makes a promise, He keeps it. 

Remember these lyrics to a great hymn:

Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

Here are a few of the many, many promises of God.

Through these he has given us 
his very great and precious 
promises, so that through 
them you may participate 
in the divine nature and escape
 the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2 Peter 1:4
 
For God so loved the world, that 
he gave his only begotten Son, 
that whosoever believeth in him 
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed and is 
useful for teaching, rebuking, 
correcting and training in righteousness,  
so that the man of God may be thoroughly 
equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

 Be careful for nothing; but in 
every thing by prayer and supplication 
with thanksgiving let your requests 
be made known unto God. And the 
peace of God, which transcends all 
understanding, will guard your 
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
 
For all the promises of God in him 
[are] yea, and in him Amen, 
unto the glory of God by us.
2 Corinthians 1:20

I wish I could share all of God's promises but there are so many that would be impossible. I know that all things are possible with God, so I guess I could share them but you would be reading this for a week straight. I will leave the seeking and searching for God's promises to you.

Just open up God's Word and seek Him!

VICTORY

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
