CHRISTMAS GREETINGS
Good morning on this great Christmas Eve morning!
Grace
and peace
to you from
God our Father
and the Lord Jesus
Christ, who gave himself
for our sins to rescue us from
the present evil age, according to
the will of our God and Father, to whom
be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Galatians
1:3-5
Well, is all your shopping done? Are all your packages wrapped? Have you done your baking yet? Are you ready to celebrate the birthday of Jesus? Did you make Jesus a birthday cake?
I plan to make a birthday cake today for Jesus. I may do cupcakes instead of a cake. That way I can send some home with my family a little easier. Ooh! It sounds good.
We went to a Christmas program last night at our sister church. It was really good. The children of the church shared their talents in singing, playing instruments, etc. We really enjoyed that and the message was wonderful. Tonight we will have a Children's Service at church especially geared for the children of the community. They can bring drums and other fun instruments to play and they will sing and have the Christmas story. It sounds like lots of fun. Then at our sister church they will have communion at 11 pm. I am afraid we will be in bed at that time. I hate to miss it but tomorrow is a big day and it is just so hard for me to stay up that late especially with such a busy day today. Should I forget all the excuses and go anyway? Yes, I should but will I? I am not so sure.
I am sitting here in the recliner at 2:30 am. I woke up about 1:45 and couldn't go back to sleep so I got up and swept and scrubbed the kitchen floor and wanted to do some more chores but was afraid of making too much noise and waking my husband up. Our son and family will be here this afternoon so I have lots to do. So, excited to see them.
It is raining. I was hoping for a clear, cold, and great travel weather for all the travelers going home for Christmas. Maybe it won't rain all day. I would rather have snow than rain. Maybe another year! That white Christmas we had for Christmas of 2010 was awesome. It was so beautiful and our family got here before the snow started to stick. It was a Christmas to remember. And it was lots of fun!
There, in the presence of the LORD your God,
you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice
in everything you have put your hand to, because
the LORD your God has blessed you.
Deuteronomy 12:7
May Christmas be a wonderful time spent with friends and family and be an awesome time of counting your blessings.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly
realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Ephesians 1:3
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that
in all things at all times, having all that you need,
you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8
So, let us remember to count our blessings one by one as we celebrate Jesus's birthday and share the love of Jesus with those around us. May He fill us to overflowing with His love, mercy and grace.
23 Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
Ephesians 6:23-24
Have a happy and wonderful and merry Christmas in Christ!
