SHINE YOUR LIGHT

Good morning on this blessed Sunday!

Do you know that the sun has not shined here since before Christmas? It has been kind of dark and dreary and rainy for so long. But this morning I can see the blue sky. The sun hasn't come over the mountains yet but it will.
 
Have you ever felt kind of blue? I guess the dark and dreary days kind of make you feel that way. Where the bright sun perks you up and makes you happy, the dreary days kind of bring you down. Of course, with my back so sore, I have been kind of out of it. I can't do much at least not what I want to do. I can't twist and turn. Standing up hurts the least as I said another day. Sitting is sore, laying is sore. I didn't sleep well last night because I hurt and couldn't get comfortable. So, this morning I am kind of tired and groggy and just don't feel very well. 

So, maybe blue I am. But do you know that Jesus is the Light of the world? He will lift me up. He will heal me in His time. He will make me feel better. He will love me no matter what. He will touch me and make me whole.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12
 
Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven.
Lamentations 3:41a
 
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
 
This is what I am going to do. I am going to lift up my heart and my hands to God. I will let Him have me today. I will let Him use me and follow Him. I will trust Him to fill up my heart with His love and fill up my body with His healing. Since Jesus is the light of the world, and I am supposed to be Christ-like, then I will try to shine my light for Him. I need to do these things everyday not just when I am sick or blue.  

Lord, touch me, fill me, heal me. Use me as Your instrument of peace. Shine Your light upon me so that I can reflect Your light to others. Lead, guide, and direct me and make me whole. Fill me to overflowing with Your love and Your presence. Show me Your ways, Oh God. Cleanse my heart and make me whole, Lord. Help me to trust You all the days of my life, to lean on You, to love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love my neighbors as myself. I can do nothing myself. I need your help to do everything, Lord. Help me! In Jesus Name, AMEN!

God is so good all the time. He hears our prayers and answers our prayers. Maybe not always the way we would like, but answers them none the less, and His way not ours. We just need to wait on Him. His timing is perfect. 

So, on this beautiful Sabbath Day, spend time with Jesus. Put your focus on Him, fellowship with Him, show Him your love, and shine the light of Jesus. He is worthy and deserves it.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
