JESUS IS COMING BACK
May God bless you this fine and gorgeous day. When I started this blog through God's leading, the plan was to tell about what God has done for me in my life. He has done so much and I have talked about some of it but it seems as though I have gotten away from talking about me, which is a good thing. I am kind of boring. But God is not! I guess that is what He had planned all along, to talk about Him. So, I apologize to you if you wanted to hear about me and all the juicy tidbits about my life. It is all about Jesus, not me!
Are you ready for Christmas? Are you ready for 2013? You know, I never in my life thought about living in the 2000's, or the 21st century. Every year as we bring in the new year it seems weird. But here we are moving on year to year so quickly. Time definitely does not stand still. It sure seems like it though when you are waiting for test results, or a healing, or for something great or even not so great to happen. Right now my 5 year old grandson has strep throat. And I praise and thank God that he will heal quickly and that no one else will get it.
Anyway, are you ready? Are you ready for Jesus to come back? I pray everyone is ready although I know that we all have friends and loved ones who are not ready. We really need to pray for them and help them get ready by sharing Jesus with them because the time is very soon. His return gives us something to look and live for. But those who don't know Jesus are not looking or living for Him. I can't imagine not having Christ in my life. In all reality, without Him, what is there to live for?
Paul committed himself by saying he was, “looking for the blessed hope
and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ
Jesus” (Titus 2:13).
In another place he wrote, For our citizenship is in heaven from which
also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians
3:20; cf. Acts 1:11; Matthew 24:29-31, 37, 44; 25:31; John 14:1-3). The
Bible teaching about the Return of Christ is clear: He is on His way
when the time is right. (From http://www.bible-teaching-about.com/returnofchrist.html)
For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

1 Thessalonians 4:16
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am
coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 22:20
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another
on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up
meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing,
but encouraging one another—and all the more
as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25

Jesus IS coming back! We don't know when and we are not to know when. Jesus doesn't even know when. Only our Heavenly Father knows the day and the time.
There are many more verses talking about the Rapture. Although, that word is not in God's Word, it is in the dictionary. As a noun it means:
1. the state of mind resulting from feelings of high emotion; joyous ecstasy.
2. (often plural) an expression of ecstatic joy.
3. the act of transporting a person from one sphere of existence to another, esp. from earth to heaven.
4. the Rapture, theology. the experience anticipated by some fundamentalist Christians, of meeting Christ midway in the air upon His return to earth.
So, as I said Jesus IS coming back! Are you ready? Have you believed and asked Jesus to come live in your heart? To take over your life so you can live for Him? It is not hard. This is very simple. It is not rocket science. That is where faith comes in. We don't have to know every detail about God and His teachings before we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord. We accept Him first and then He will teach us along the way as we pray, read His Word, praise and worship Him, go to church and hear His Word preached, and go to Bible Study. As long as these things line up with His Word, we are good to go, as they say.
Let us get ready. And in excitement, anticipate His return. Today is the day of salvation and He will be back very soon.
Don't wait to get ready. It may be too late!
Have an awesome day!
Les
