LIGHT
Good morning!
The lights are flashing around me. The Christmas music is sounding about me. The Christmas cactus is blooming in front of me. Jesus is in my heart. I am ready!

Am I really ready? Is my heart really ready to receive what God has for me this Advent season? I try not to think that I am selfish about receiving something from God. Because our relationship with Jesus is not all about what He can give me. Sure He gives us salvation, love, forgiveness and much more. God really gave us everything in Christ when He died on the cross. But it is still not about what He can give me. It is about what we can give Him. We can give Him our heart, our lives, our love, our worship, our praise, our time, our money. But do we really give Him everything we have? Our heart, soul, mind, our strength, our dependence.
This Advent/Christmas season is the perfect time to tell others about Jesus. Hearts are not as hard at this time of year as in other times of the year. Our hearts are softer at this time. When we give our all to Jesus, He will give His all to us, to help us live our lives acceptable to Him.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers,
so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that
displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2 Corinthians 4:4
To do what is right and just is more
acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
Proverbs 21:3
You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual
sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5
Let your light shine. Let your life be acceptable to God. Fill your heart with the light of Christ. And don't think that your life has to be perfect before you can do this. It doesn't. Jesus meets you where you are!
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6
Start today to let your light shine. Let the light of Jesus shine in you and through you. I know you can do it. We have Jesus to help us. And He is the light of the world.
Blessings!
Les
