HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

Good morning this New Year's Eve! I pray you have a blessed day!

And that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, 
and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he 
will give you many years in the land he swore to give 
to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Deuteronomy 30:20

Do we love the Lord our God as we should? Do we listen to His voice? Do we hold fast to Him?

These things are the way we should live our lives. Do we do it? Do we really want to do it? Do we really care? If yes is the answer to all these things then we are trying to do it. Are we actually doing these things or trying to do them? I think that God knows our hearts and wants us to try really hard. We are not perfect and we may fail sometimes but at least try. 
 
In the new year we really are going to need to do these things. Not only because we should but because the world we lives in calls for it. It is not going to be pretty and when we have the Lord to help us and be with us, He will help us and give us peace if we let Him. We really need to study and meditate on His Word. We really need to love Him:

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
Deuteronomy 10:12-13
 
 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Luke 10:27
 
These things are what God asks of us. He commands them actually. If we do these things then everything else will fall into place. He will never leave us or forsake us. He will love us unconditionally. 
 
God sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for us so that our sins would be taken away as far as the east is from the west and so that we would live with Him in Heaven for eternity. Why would we want to do anything else? The alternative is terrible. So, we have a choice: to live with Him for ever in Heaven or live without Him forever in Hell. And from what I hear about Hell, it is definitely not a place that I would ever want to be for eternity. 

So, if we know Jesus we will have an awesome eternity. If we don't, watch out! Beware? Make a wise choice now. Let the new year be a new year for you knowing where you are going, knowing what lies ahead, knowing that you made the best choice you can before it is too late. Today is the day of salvation! 
 
Here is a simple prayer for you to pray today to so you will know what to say:

Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me!

In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, then you are saved, washed in the blood of Jesus. You have a new life in Christ. Tell someone. Don't start out alone like I did. Now let yourself learn and love and live for Jesus. He will set you free!

I love you but you know what Jesus loves you more.

VICTORY

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid. DROUGHT

  Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
