THE PEACE OF CHRIST
Good morning! May we praise the Holy One, Jesus!
What a great weekend! The musical at our son's church on Saturday night was great. Last night was our Christmas play at church. There were around 100 people who came to see it. It was awesome! The message was great. The play was great. The fellowship was great. And the refreshments were great! Who could ask for anything more?
But in 8 days we do get something more: The Birthday of Jesus! This is the best there is. Christmas is about Jesus, the Son of God, the Messiah, our Redeemer, our Salvation, our King of kings and Lord of Lords, Emmanuel, God with us, the Babe in a manger, our Lord and Savior, the Alpha and Omega, the Word, the Lamb of God, the Light of the world, the Bread of life, our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. How many more names do you want? I could go on and on. There was a song out a few years ago about the names of Jesus. It was awesome. I have searched for it but have had trouble finding it but it is very anointed and why shouldn't it be? It is all about Jesus, the good Shepherd, the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
So, as we continue on this journey to December 25, shall we let our hearts and minds focus on Him, our Rock, our Bright and Morning Star. Let Him fill you with His presence and His peace each moment of each day as we seek His face.
How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?
1 Thessalonians 3:9
Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
2 Corinthians 13:11
My heart says of you, "Seek his face!"
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
Psalm 27:8
Even though I have just found out for sure that our daughter and son-in-law will not be home for Christmas for the first time, God will give me peace as I look to Him. I am sad and not filled with it yet and it will take praying and seeking God's face but that peace of God will come. Maybe it will come in the morning or in the days to come but it will come because God says it will.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from
me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the
God of peace will be with you.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from
me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the
God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:9
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through
the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 1:2
24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’
Numbers 6:24-26
I can't add to that. Have a wonderful, Spirit-filled day!
