FOOD

Good morning to you on this blessed Wednesday!

Hope that you had a wonderful night! We had the privilege of going to a banquet last night and the speaker was Jeffrey Dean with Jeffrey Dean Ministries. He has a ministry to youth. He was funny and a very good speaker. It was very enjoyable and the food was good too. Why does everything go back to food?

Well, let's talk about food for thought.

“… Man shall not live
by bread alone,
but by every word
that proceeds
out of the
mouth of God…”

           Matthew 4:4

Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee.
Psalm 119:11

Hopefully we are putting God's Word into our very being by going to a Bible-believing church, reading His Word, or listening to His Word through music or preaching. However we can get His Word into our hearts.

Another verse for thought!

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen
  Matthew 28:19, 20

At this point in my life I am not going into all the world to teach and baptize. But the two things I do do are, lead a mission trip to Mississippi and write this blog. I suppose that this blog could get into all the world. But I do it all for the glory of God, not myself. I might share one verse a day or six verses but I am sharing. No matter where I am or what I am doing, I do it.

So, sharing my stories and talking about the Bible is giving you and me food for thought. Hopefully the thoughts that God gives me and the Bible verses will occupy your mind and, therefore, will become a healthy food for your thoughts, which, as an end result, will make you healthier in every way – spiritual, emotional, physical. That is all I can ask.

And God and His Word are all we need. How great is our God!

When we listen to Christian music we are receiving food for thought. We sing the words either aloud or in our minds and many times are putting God's Word right where it needs to be - in our hearts.

Think food - God's Word!

Relax and enjoy your day!
