Good morning on this great Monday!

I was just reading a blog by Michael O'Brien's wife, Heidi. ( I talked about him a little yesterday. He is the former lead singer for Newsong. I just spent the weekend with him leading praise and worship. Awesome!) Oh, my! Have you thought about your marriage lately? I mean really thought. Are you just making the motions? Living the same-old same-old?  Even if we have an awesome marriage, we should be trying to make it even better. Traditional marriage is under fire these days. The evil one is tearing down marriages day by day and trying to break up families. How can we let him do that? 

This album was made by Michael O. called Something About Us. It is a romantic album about the blessings of marriage. And it was written by God through Michael for you. First read Heidi's blog:


Then, listen to this song. I think it was the first one he wrote for the album. It is a love song and the whole album was written to his wife. He used it to help in healing his marriage. We don't usually think this way. So, listen closely. Life sometimes seems to get in the way of making our marriage better.

So, if you are married, treasure your husband or wife. Make it a marriage of 3-God first, then you and your husband or wife. If God isn't first in your marriage, then who knows how it will be or what will happen. And marriage is forever! Yes, I said it "forever". It is too easy to say, "ah, forget it. It isn't perfect so it isn't worth it." Who ever said that marriage is supposed to be perfect, that it was going to be easy. No one I know. Marriage is work, hard work but with God as the head of it, it will be a little bit easier and worth it. 

Remember to have a date often and reopen your wedding album together and alone, and remember why you married him/her.

Now if you are single, and you hope to get married someday, SEEK GOD! Make Him first in your life! Let Him lead you to the right person. Wait on Him! And don't marry anyone who doesn't have Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It doesn't work. I have done it! It may seem like it works for a while but it will be that much harder to live that life when you have different values. 

Marriage is a sacred vow between a man and woman and the Bible offers many verses that offer guidance for married couples, husbands, wives, newlyweds and engagement. Read verses from the Holy Bible about marriage in relation to God, Jesus Christ, and the Christian faith. I will give you a few and you can search out the rest.
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib 
he had taken out of the man, and he brought her 
to the man.  The man said, "This is now bone of my 
bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, 
' for she was taken out of man."  For this reason a 
man will leave his father and mother and be united 
to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Genesis 2:22-24

"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning 
the Creator 'made them male and female,'  and said, 
'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother 
and be united to his wife, and the two will become one 
flesh' ?  So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore 
what God has joined together, let man not separate."
Matthew 19:4-6

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.  For 
the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the 
head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Ephesians 5:22-23

I could go on and on with verses.  But as I said SEEK GOD whether you are married or single and let Him be your guide through it all because HE loves you.

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
