WORTHY OR UNWORTHY?

Good morning on this great day the Lord has given us!

Have you thought about that? The Lord has given us another day. Another opportunity to live your life worthy of Christ. I didn't say live a perfect life but worthy of Christ. And my first thought on that is-I am not worthy. Well, in all reality we are not worthy but because of God's great love for us He sent Jesus to die on the cross for all our unworthiness. Then, Jesus rose again so that we might have life and have it abundantly and live for eternity with Him in heaven.

For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

For by grace you have been saved through faith,
and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Ephesians 2:8

And giving joyful thanks to the Father,
who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of
his holy people in the kingdom of light.
Colossians 1:12

So, God loves us enough to save us by grace, not because of our worthiness but because of His gift to us, by qualifying us to share in His inheritance. In other words we don't have to be good enough on our own but through Jesus we are good enough.

For he chose us in him before the creation of the
world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Ephesians 1:4

But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical
body through death to present you holy in his sight,
without blemish and free from accusation.
Colossians 1:22

So, are we unworthy? Yes, we are, in and of ourselves. However, we are not worthless or no good in the sight of God. Jesus shed His blood for us. Why would He do this for each one of us if we were unworthy?

It is the evil one, the devil, who tells you that you are unworthy-no good, useless, unusable to God.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7

As the days go by, remember that Jesus loves you unconditionally and that you are worthy through Him. Study His Word for yourself and see how much you mean to God.

Have a blessed day!
