THE STORM
Good morning to you on this gorgeous day!
God is so good! He brings the beautiful sunshine after the storms. We had some awesome lightning last night and a real good rain. The storm was actually severe in some places. I wouldn't have wanted to be on the road in it as I know some people were. But it is over and the sun is shining and the birds are chirping and my windows are open this morning.
Those who live in the Southeast know that we live in the allergy capital of America. Well, the pollen is so bad that I washed my car yesterday and by the time I got home, 30 minutes later, it was yellow and it really shows up on a burgundy-colored car.
Anyway, I have read that if you have allergies, which my husband and I do, that you should never open your windows in your home. Well, my husband wants the windows open and yesterday I was cleaning the kitchen and lo and behold my smooth black surfaced stove was covered in pollen. I wiped it off because I thought it was flour or dust that had somehow got on there. When I looked at my cloth, it was yellow - pollen. Oh, my! So, I guess I really need my allergy shots this week.
And the calm before the storm. We have in store a beautiful day but it is supposed to storm again tonight or early in the morning. Well, we go through storms in life but what is so great is usually the other side of the storm is amazing. So, be patient in your storm, knowing that Jesus will help you through, and the other side could be awesome.
Jeremiah 29:11 which says, "For I know the
plans I have for you", says the Lord. "They
are plans for good and not for disaster, to
give you a future and a hope."
Proverbs 16:9 which says, "We can make
plans I have for you", says the Lord. "They
are plans for good and not for disaster, to
give you a future and a hope."
Proverbs 16:9 which says, "We can make
our plans, but the Lord determines our steps."
"Then the LORD will appear over them; his
arrow will flash like lightning. The Sovereign
LORD will sound the trumpet; he will march
in the storms of the south,"
Zechariah 9:14
"“Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not
comforted, I will rebuild you with stones of
turquoise, your foundations with lapis lazuli."
Isaiah 54:11

"“Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not

Isaiah 54:11
Luke 8:24 says: "The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”
He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm."
Storms of life will happen. Be prepared! Know Jesus intimately. The great thing is, He is there to calm the storm if you ask and He will bring you through it and rebuild you with "stones of turquoise, your foundations with lapis lazuli." Which means that you will be even better, more beautiful that before the storm. How awesome is that? We will be stronger than before the storms of life. God will strengthen our character. He will renew and refresh our souls.

Trust Him! He is worthy to do as He says. Read His Word and be comforted as you are led through to the other side of the storm.
Have a wonderful day!
