GOD HEARS

Good morning on this wonderful rainy day!

It is the kind of day when you just want to curl up and read a book. But I am going somewhere today. As much as I want to go, I like the idea of staying home better. I did get some tomatoes and bell peppers planted last evening but I didn't get the flowers done. Maybe it will stop raining later and the ground will be nice and gooey and soft. There is nothing worse than trying to dig a hole in dirt cement. Ugh!

I just looked. It is supposed to rain all day and the temperature should reach 60-64*. Oh, my! Not good for planting flowers. Well, while I am home I will take care of my husband and my house instead. I am in the middle of so many projects my house looks like a bomb went off. I will start a project and then start another and another and not complete anything. I need to finish them before I start another. There is just so much going on in my life right now, not bad stuff, just too much that I need to do. And not enough hours in the day or the strength to stay up late.

And then there is my husband. I don't know what to do for him. He is hurting so bad. He didn't sleep last night. The doctor did not give him pain relievers or muscle relaxers but my husband won't take them anyway. Maybe a muscle relaxer but not pain meds. And then when he gets up he feels queasy. I don't know what to do except pray. That is the first thing we should do in any situation anyway.

God knows his pain. He knows what he is going through. So, then we wonder why God won't make the pain go away and make his back better and not worse. My husband says that it hurts as bad now as it did when he fell.

Have you ever thought that pain might have value? What a thought? Jesus went through excruciating pain and suffering during the crucifixion and resurrection and there definitely was a reason. Our sin and everlasting life. So, why do we go through such pain physically sometimes? It just happens. But we can start out with faith. We should cry out to God when we hurt. He does hear our cries, our prayers. He is answering just maybe not in our time frame. We must praise and worship Him in the storm (pain) and wait on Him to manifest our healing. Because He will in His way. Oh, but how hard that is. When we hurt, it is so hard to praise the Lord. All we can think about is the pain.
And then, in the process of all this, how is God going to use it for His glory? We think, what good can come from this? Well, something good can and will come from it. Because God is good all the time. We can pray for God to give us the grace and patience to wait on Him. And the best part is He will!

pray without ceasing,
1 Thessalonians 5:17
And we know that all things work together
for good to those who love God, to those
who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28
God's Word insists that we must accept that God is wise, merciful and just. And that everything happens for a reason. What future does God have beyond this time of suffering? Only He knows. So, we need to trust Him and praise and worship Him and wait on Him. And if we think that we can't do it, do it anyways.
We have Faith in God, Hope in God, and Love in God and the greatest of these is love. (from 1 Corinthians 13:13).
May God bless you and keep you and give you peace. (from Numbers 6:24-26).
Have a fantastic day!
