GLORIFY HIM

Good morning on this fine,
rainy Sabbath morning!

I keep praying the sun will come out. I don't think that we have seen the sun in a week. I know it is sunny somewhere, probably out west where the temperatures are in the 120's.

I have heard that places where it is damp and rainy all the time, there is a higher percentage of depressed people. I can sure see why. Dreary, dreary, dreary! And I am not depressed, at least I don't think so. I just know that when the sun is shining, my heart soars, and the outlook is bright, and I feel different.

But I know that the Son shines all the time. My Jesus shines and loves me rain or shine. He blesses me all the time.

Out of Zion, the perfection of
beauty, God will shine forth.
Psalm 50:2

Restore us, O God; Cause Your face
to shine, And we shall be saved!
Psalm 80:3

Let your light so shine before men, that they
may see your good works and glorify
your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, His own special people, that you may
proclaim the praises of Him who called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light;
1 Peter 2:9

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am
the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not
walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
John 8:12

Oh, awesome is He, the Light of the world. His light is perfect. He will cause us to shine, rain or shine. We are to be His light to the people around us. Jesus shines in us, if we let Him. Of course, we have to know Him as our Savior. He has chose us to be His own special people, to leave the dark part of our lives and live in His marvelous light. And then as we love Him and know Him better, then His light shines in us,  and we serve Him more, and glorify our Father in heaven.

And how much I want to glorify Him all the time. "Lord, forgive me of my sins, when I don't glorify You." I guess in order to glorify Him all the time, I will have to be in heaven. As much as I am so ready to go there, I am not ready to leave my family and friends. But when God says so, I am ready. So, I will do better at living my life here on earth to glorify Him.

Are you ready to do that also?

Have a blessed day worshiping Him!
