HE IS FAITHFUL

Good morning on this fine Monday!

Boy, we got some rain last night. We were watching a movie and when it was over it just started pouring. We had had some thunder and lightning late in the afternoon but it never rained. But boom it came down around 9:45 PM. It will be extra steamy tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will work some more on my daughter's house. We finished the painting and now are just getting it very clean for the inspector and the appraiser. After the early church service yesterday morning, we ate at Olive Garden-yum-and then came to the house and cleaned all day. Forgive us Lord, for doing that kind of work on Sunday but we have a deadline to keep. Then we will clean again all day today until the inspector arrives. 

I don't think that I have worked this hard in years. But I love spending the time doing it to help my daughter and son-in-law, who is working out of town. Just being with her blesses my soul.

The picture above is just from the one 1/2 hour period that I was able to spend at the beach and I was alone. Hopefully we will get this work done today and then be able to spend more time at the beach. If only the weather will cooperate. Lord, please give us some nice days to spend some relaxing time at the beach. The beach wasn't even that pretty. With the stormy unstable air that has been in the whole south for two months, it is just rough and not pretty like usual.

But God is faithful. As I said the other day, He helped us paint the impossible because nothing is impossible with God. He is able.
...But I am not ashamed, for I know 
whom I have believed, and I am 
convinced that he is able to
 guard until that Day what has 
been entrusted to me.
2 Timothy 1:12 

 What is so amazing about the verse that nothing is impossible with God is that after I wrote about what God did for us on Saturday, that is what the preacher preached yesterday. God's confirmation is just amazing. As I said a moment ago God is faithful. 

Know therefore that the Lord your God 
is God; he is the faithful God, 
keeping his covenant of love to a 
thousand generations of those who 
love him and keep his commandments.
Deuteronomy 7:9

So,let us do our part of knowing He is God, loving Him and keeping His commandments, and He will do His part by being faithful and keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations. How great and awesome is that?

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
