LIVING

Good morning to you this fine Sabbath Day!

It was so great to sleep in my own bed and not my air mattress. But the funny thing is, all the work and cleaning we did and whatever else, God took care of my back. It didn't hurt the whole time I was gone. Praise God I got home safely but when I woke up this morning from my own bed my back hurt some. Ugh! Go figure!

I had a scare yesterday somewhere on the interstate in South Georgia, I believe. I was driving along next to a big truck trying to get past him and he had a blowout. Oh my gosh! It scared the bejeebers out of me. I thought someone shot me. My husband said that I was protected because big pieces of tire could have hit my car and no telling what could have happened. Praise God for His divine protection! He is so good and great and awesome and I want to live for Him all the days of my life.

My husband did a lot of yard work while I was gone. We had a lot of overgrowth that we had let go and with all the rain it was crazy. The outer edges of our yard were starting to close in on us. We still have about 4 huge trees that are growing up to our deck that need to be taken down. But that takes more than one person and a big chainsaw. One day soon I hope that can be done. But he just reached the tip of the iceberg in the yard. But time and energy are so limited. We are not getting any younger.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life;
he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,
John 11:25

But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for
sound doctrine. Older men are to be temperate,
dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.
Older women likewise are to be reverent in their
behavior, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to
much wine, teaching what is good, that they may
encourage the young women to love their husbands,
to love their children, [to be] sensible, pure, workers
at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands,
that the word of God may not be dishonored. Likewise
urge the young men to be sensible; in all things show
yourself to be an example of good deeds, [with] purity
in doctrine, dignified, sound [in] speech which is beyond
reproach, in order that the opponent may be put
to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
Titus 2:1-8

So, let us heed God's Word. In other words, let's just do it! God will even help us with that.
Have a blessed day!
