TRUST HIM
Good morning to you this morning!
I pray that all is well with you. I am a little late this morning. I drove alone for about 12 1/2 hours yesterday and I can't wake up. I have been dozing since 6 AM. Anyway, praise God for a safe trip.
Have you ever been hit with a trial that just seems impossible? Well, if you have, then you know that the only way to get through it is to trust God. He is the only one that can help you along the way. Some things just seem so impossible at the time but with God all things are possible.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this
is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
I really thought that I could never drive for so many hours without falling asleep at the wheel. The farthest I had ever driven was 10 hours. 2 1/2 hours doesn't seem that much farther but when you are tired, that time seems like eternity. I will say that I ate junk food most of the way. Eating will keep you awake if you do it constantly. I chewed gum and popped bubbles. I turned the radio so loud that when the music (classical) got quiet and then loud again, it scared me to death. I turned the air conditioner down low enough that I almost froze to death. But I stayed awake. I prayed about everything and everyone and prayed and prayed some more. Well, God answered my prayers and I got here safely. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.
I thought with all the caffeine I had yesterday that I would not sleep last night. Any caffeine for me is usually too much. I am very sensitive to it. But anyway, I slept. I was just so tired.
This isn't even what I was talking about when I was talking about a trial in your life. But anyway, it held true in this situation that nothing is impossible with God. He kept my awake and alert.
But trials come and go in our lives. And sometimes when we finish one, another starts. That is just the life we lead in this sinful, worrisome world we live in. Life is just not going to float along perfectly all the days of our lives. Because life isn't perfect. Adam and Eve saw to that.
But trusting God is our only choice. I don't know how people live without Jesus in their lives. But I do know that a lot of people do it all of their days.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not
on your own understanding; in all your ways submit
to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Those who know your name trust in you for
you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:10
In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.
Psalm 25:1
So, it is in God I put my trust. I trust Him to help me through all of life's ups and downs. And sometimes it seems that there are more downs than ups. But that is okay. I trust God to bring me through to the other side, and in the process I will become a better person. I will trust Him more knowing how He has helped me. Then, telling others about God's greatness and help He has given you may help them to trust in God also.
And He will also help you because He loves you. Just trust and obey.
Have a blessed day!
Les
