HIS LOVE
Good morning to you!
What a gorgeous day yesterday! I hope that you enjoyed it. I did. I didn't do much. Well, I kind of did. I take a watercolor class at the senior center. I haven't gone for several weeks for being out of town or busy. But today I finished what I had started several weeks ago. I am not very good. But it is rewarding to paint something and finish it even if it is not very good. My husband always says it looks great. He is so nice!
And you know that God is that way also. We are not perfect. And speaking for myself, I make lots of mistakes. I try so hard to do things just right. I may be kind of a perfectionist. But I want to do things right and when I don't I get so mad at myself. I am my worst critic.
But God is definitely not like that. He loves us despite our imperfections. He loves us unconditionally even when we make mistakes. He is an awesome God!
For I am convinced that neither death
nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither
the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in
all creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
For great is his love toward us, and
the faithfulness of the LORD endures
forever. Praise the LORD.
Psalm 117:2
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may
strengthen you with power through his Spirit
in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell
in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you,
being rooted and established in love, may
have power, together with all the Lord’s holy
people, to grasp how wide and long and high
and deep is the love of Christ, and to know
this love that surpasses knowledge—that you
may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

So great is His love towards us. Wow! How can any One love so much even when we sin and sin some more. Now I am not saying that you are a sinner. I know that I am. But God's Word says this:
...for all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23
That word all means that all of us sin. We can sin by commission or by omission. Commission would be when we know there are things that we know that God wouldn't want us to do and we do them anyway, like lie or steal something. Sins of omission would be things that God is telling us to do and we don't do them, like when He tells us to visit someone or call someone and we don't do it.
All this to say that God loves us so much even when we do things we shouldn't. And even when we don't do things we should.
