Good morning! I decided since we have had some really cold mornings that I wanted to post a picture of warmer days. So, here is a picture I took from one of our trips

I have said this before that God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Thanks be to God! it never gets old because it is so true.

If you are ever away from home and have a smartphone or ipad or laptop with you and can get online, you can go to www.biblegateway.com and search for any Bible scripture or subject matter that you want to for your morning devotions or Bible reading. It is a great website. You can also go to www.devotional.upperroom.org and read a devotional for the day. That is something that we need to do each day of our lives. It is really cool the way we can go online and search for anything and instantly we have it. Of course, that may not necessarily be a good thing. We have to be very careful where we go.

I was reading in my Upper Room devotional about the Good Samaritan this morning. I try not to use this subject matter in my blog each day but follow God's leading. But this week I have heard this story twice, at church and today in my devotions so I decided that it was for a reason. It is Luke 10:25-37:

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

As I have mentioned before we lead very busy lives, maybe even too busy. But when the opportunity comes to talk to someone, let's not run off because we are in a hurry. That is so easy to do. Let God use you to encourage, or love someone. We can be God's mouth at this point. God can use us. Don't consider these moments when someone needs us as interruptions. God puts people in our path for us to minister to for a reason whether it is someone we know or not. Let us give them a big smile and take the time to listen and not be so rushed or appalled by someone. God will use us in His way not the way we want to be used.

Let us look for ways to spread Christ's love to all we meet. We will find ourselves exactly where God wants us to be.

Love your neighbor as yourself.
Luke 10:27

Have a wonderful day!
