Good morning this fine Sunday! Another day the Lord has made. May we rejoice and be glad in it.

It is dark out yet. I thought after drinking caffeinated coffee yesterday that I would not sleep good. Well, it took me a long time to go to sleep. But I did sleep pretty good. I could have slept longer. I cleaned and went through Christmas decorations and got my tree done last night so I was really, really tired. I give God the honor and glory for it all. Because usually after caffeine even in the morning I don't sleep well. I am so thankful.

As I said my husband and I put up the tree last night. Well, part of the lights didn't work and of course, the lights only had a 5 year warranty and it was up last year. My husband spent a couple of hours pulling out light bulbs and fuses and thinks that a circuit is out. Oh my! The whole object of getting a pre-lit tree is so you don't have to string the lights on the tree. Well, maybe it is easier to check the lights first and knowing they work, put them on the tree. Oh, who knows! Life is just full of little inconveniences and with God's help we shouldn't get too frustrated.

The light is starting to come between the trees. Yesterday was a beautiful day but the high was only 47*. Actually, I like days like that. I think it is supposed to be a few degrees warmer today. I love this time of year. I am not sure I like the hustle and bustle. I have prayed for God to give me peace during this holiday season. One year I had small panic attacks leading up to Christmas. That wasn't fun. So, pray that God will give us all peace this year and even though we are busy, we will remember that Jesus is the heart of Christmas.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving
thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17

So, whatever we are doing or saying, let us do it all in the name of Jesus, and give thanks to Him for it all. And I know that He will give us the peace that passeth all understanding. We do need to stand up for what we believe in Christ. Does what we say and do honor Him? If it doesn't honor and glorify Him, then we shouldn't do it. Now we live in an imperfect world and time as I have said before. That makes it harder to do what is right. But we need to try the best we know how to do it anyway. We will fail. We will not always get it right. But that's okay. God loves us anyway and always forgives us.

“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through
Jesus  the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you."
Acts 13:38

"In Him we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with
the riches of God’s grace."
Ephesians 1:7

We have His forgiveness. We just need to realize when we sin, we need to ask God to forgive us. And He will! No questions asked. He loves us unconditionally. So, whatever we do in word or deed, if it should happen to not be done in the name of Jesus, He will forgive. Live in His love. He will protect us in the shadow of His wings.

Blessings in the Name of Jesus!
