Good morning on this fine day!
Waking up this morning was a little difficult. All I can say is our hope is in the Lord. I believe difficult times are ahead for many, many people. Lord help us! This Bible verse came to mind right away:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean
not on your own understanding; in all your
ways acknowledge Him, and He will
make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6
All I have in me this morning is scripture so that is what you are going to get. There is certainly nothing wrong with that. It is a little long but then scripture can't be too long. Enjoy!
First of all, "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be
burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
Galatians 5:1
Remember, Christians are not free to do whatever they want. Because God helps us, we are free to do what is right.
"Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord,and he will
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord,and he will
give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."
Psalm 37:3-6
"And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you."
And last but certainly not least, the 91st Psalm:
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge—
no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
to guard you in all your ways.
On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.
When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
Psalm 91
Let us stay rooted and grounded in Jesus, stay on our knees, and praise, worship and glorify our God Almighty!
Have a blessed day!
