Hello and good morning! I believe that we should have slept well after eating all the delectable food that we had on Thanksgiving Day. And I sure did! Wow! What a spread.
Of course, we had turkey and dressing, gravy, green bean casserole, hash brown casserole, corn casserole, mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, 2 cranberry salads, rolls, and I believe even more than that. Plus we had apple pie, pumpkin-cheese pie, and pumpkin bread. Oh it was all delicious and we had enough for an army. We are so thankful for the wonderful meal and the hands that prepared it all. God is so good to us!
Now today is Black Friday. Ugh! Most everyone and their mother's brothers were out shopping at 7 PM on Thanksgiving night. Some of the stores started early this year which is good for the shopper because they didn't have to get out at 5 AM. But it isn't so good for the employees at the stores. They had to eat a wonderful meal (which always makes you sleepy) and then go to work. But we certainly should be thankful these days to have a job. So, I guess it is good all the way around.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give
thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love
endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Psalm 100:4-5
The Psalms are so wonderful and so full of praise for God. Read the Psalms when you want to be lifted up and refreshed. Read God's Word and be renewed. Read about Him and feel His presence. Sing His praise and songs and hymns and glorify His name in all the earth.
Remember this praise song:
O, magnify the Lord
For He is worthy to be praised
O, magnify the Lord
For He is worthy to be praised
Hosanna, blessed be the Rock
Blessed be the Rock of my salvation
Hosanna, blessed be the Rock
Blessed be the Rock of my salvation
We haven't sung that in years but what a great song. We should definitely
magnify the Lord for He is worthy to by praised.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2
Oh, hallelujah, praise the Lord!
Well, enjoy your day and remember Jesus is your best Friend
and will never leave you.
Blessings!
