My flowers
Good morning! Thought I would share some flowers to brighten your day because it will be awhile before we see them again in the spring. I hope you woke up hopping and ready to go. I did! After a long drive home and a busy time at home putting things away and preparing my Avon for delivery, I was really tired. Got in bed about 7 PM and shut the TV off before 8. I slept really good and long, about 10 hours. I hardly ever sleep that long so I needed it. I had a great time with my father and step-mom in Arkansas but it is always good to get home in your own bed and to your husband. And he is so good to me. I missed him so much. Maybe someday he will go with me. I do praise God he has lots of work, so he can't leave home very often.
Psalm 37:1-7a says:
1 Do not fret because of those who are evil
or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
and wait patiently for him;
We do fret a little because other people don't always have the same ideas and values as we do. Not everyone is a Christian or leads a godly life. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone did? But we know that is not the way it is. So, we must do as God says and trust in Him and do good and dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Do we delight ourselves in the Lord? If we do, He will give us the desires of our hearts, if they are in His will. I think if our desires are good and they don't hurt anyone, including ourselves, God will give them to us. Do we truly commit our way to the Lord and trust in Him so He can bless us and make our righteousness shine like the dawn? The Easy-to-Read Bible version says in verse 6 "He will make it as clear as day that you are right. Everyone will see that you are being fair." That makes it a little easier to understand. God will do that for us. And then finally, are we still before the Lord and waiting patiently for Him? We need to be still before Him. When we spend time with God, do we "be still" and listen to what He has to tell us or do we omit that time with Him? Are we in too big a hurry to do that? Well, my time is up. I read His Word and prayed, so now gotta go. We need to take the time to listen and wait patiently for His still, small voice and for the blessings He has for us. God is so good. He loves us and is so patient with us.
Let Him speak to you in your heart, through His Word, however He chooses to speak to you. But let Him! He loves you!
Have an awesome day!
