Choosing Jesus Every Day: Don't Be Lazy

Good morning! I pray you slept well. I did. I have to tell a funny on myself. Well, it really isn't that funny but I will tell it anyway. Yesterday morning in the beautiful state of Arkansas,  it was raining when we got up. I got ready for church. When we left for church I had to move my car so Dad could get his car out of the garage. Well when I went to move it I realized I had left my sunroof open. That is not really a big deal. But it had rained. Oops! Why do we do such crazy things sometimes?

I guess we don't check out what we do. I mean when you get older you almost have to second guess everything you do so you don't make mistakes. And sometimes I even forget to do that. Now I know that I am not that old but I am older than I was yesterday and the day before. Oh, well! I am so glad I have Jesus in my life so I can trust Him with the big things and the little. I don't know what I would do without Him.

Yesterday at church there was a guest speaker. His name was Dr. Randy Caldwell. He grew up here in Arkansas. He is doing ministry with Ron Phillips in Chattanooga and John Hagee if you have heard of them. Caldwell is an international evangelist. His sermon was about Jesus coming back and we better be ready and if we are not we better get ready. He certainly doesn't know the day and time but because of prophesy and such he is convinced it is soon. He said many things that Bert has talked about in the past. So it is not just his thoughts and beliefs. 

I don't want you to think this is a downer blog but things are going to get worse for us in America, not better. The Bible tells us these things. God knows what is happening and what will happen. We don't know. But if we are not right with God, we need to wake up. We need to totally surrender ourselves to God and live for Him. If we don't know Jesus as our Lord and Savior and King of kings and Lord of lords, it is time to make that decision. Today is the day of salvation! Don't wait! 

Repent and give yourself to Jesus before it is too late.

 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there 

is no other name given under heaven 

by which we must be saved."

Acts 4:12 

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."

Ephesians 2:8

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

John 14:1-3

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. "

 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Wow, today is the day of salvation! Do not wait!

Jesus loves you so much. Give your heart to Him!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16
