Greetings in the Name of Jesus! Good morning!
"Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to
him: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips."
Hosea 14:2
Is the fruit of our lips sweet fruit or is it sour fruit? I never have been a negative person. I have always tried to be as positive as I can. My husband mentioned to me last night that I have been negative lately. I certainly don't mean to be. I apologize to anyone that I may have said a negative word to. I certainly don't want to hurt anyone.
Am I stressed? I know that I am menopausal. I didn't think I was stressed. I have just been frustrated lately. It seems that nothing goes just right. I broke something last night that I have had for years. (I just worked on this blog for an hour and I hit a button and the whole thing was gone. It kind of freaked me out. After about 15 minutes I was able to recover it. Praise God! That is how my life seems to go.)
Yesterday was the third day I have been putting up Christmas decorations. I have had Christmas music playing through it all. That always lifts me up. But for some reason it seems as if something is different or missing. I am not sure what it is. Maybe I just have a feeling that something is going to be different this Christmas. One thing is that we won't see my Dad or Step-mom this year at Christmas time. Even though they are not always here for Christmas, they have lived here for so long. I will surely miss them during the Christmas season and always.

Our lesson in Sunday School for weeks has been about the words of our mouth.
They sharpen their tongues like swords and
aim cruel words like deadly arrows.
Psalm 64:3
Do we do that?
Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Psalm 34:13
Those who consider themselves religious and yet
do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive
themselves, and their religion is worthless.
James 1:26
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and
with it we curse human beings, who have
been made in God’s likeness.
James 3:9
Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet
to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24
There are tons of scripture about our words and our tongue. Many, many both positive and negative. We are responsible with what comes out of our mouths. We need God's Word in our heart so that we don't sin against Him. That is paraphrased from Psalm 119:11. Our tongue can praise and it can curse. We need to watch our tongue and our heart or guard it as the scripture also says. And it is God's peace that will guard us.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil,
speak good things? For out of the abundance
of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 12:34
Jesus is speaking in this last scripture. So, what we fill ourselves up with is what will come out of our mouths. If we fill ourselves with negative and bad words from people, tv, movies, music, etc., that is what will come out of us. If we fill ourselves with good things, first and foremost, God's Word, then only His Words and encouragement and love will come out of us because that is what is in our heart.
I am speaking to myself first in this, but I know that I am probably not the only one who needs to hear this. It wouldn't be in God's Word so much if it wasn't something God wanted us to learn.
So, during this wonderful day ahead, let's listen to Christian radio or watch uplifting stuff on TV, and learn from the Holy Spirit as we praise the Lord and...
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members
of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15
Blessings!
