Good morning all!

How are you this blessed morning? I pray you got a good night's sleep. I sure did! As I said once before I don't sleep real well but the last few nights I have slept well. Have you ever tried to take Melatonin before? If you don't sleep well, give it a try. It is a chemical that your body produces naturally but as you get older, that production slows down. That is why older people don't sleep as well. I started taking it and, wow, I am sleeping so much better. I read that it shouldn't be taken longer that 3 months at a time. My doctor actually recommended it as well as tryptophan. Trytophan is an essential amino acid that occurs in some of the foods we eat, like turkey and chicken. It also help us to sleep. You might give these things a try, and see if they help you. But check with your doctor first. Although, I have found that many doctors don't believe in natural things and when you tell them that you can't sleep, they want to give you a prescription for sleeping pills. But maybe more doctors are coming around. My doctor actually tells you of natural remedies first before drugs. I love him!

I have always been one to look for natural remedies before taking drugs. That is not for everybody, of course, but it works for us. My husband once found out he had tennis elbow, so I went to the health food store and asked what they had to help with this problem, they told me, I purchased it, he took it, and the problem went away.  Usually problems are taken care of for a few years so then it comes back my husband will take it again until he is healed and then stops. We would much rather do that than take drugs. But you do have to do a little homework. And like I said it is not for everybody.

The people in the Bible, of course, used natural remedies and look how long people lived then. Methuselah lived for 969 years. Even though he was the longest living person, it went downhill from there. But that is ok! I wouldn't want to live for that long. But God does give us what we need for the life He has given us. We may not feel very good most of the time, or we may not have all the things that we think we need in our lives.

"But my God shall supply all your need according
to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19

So, God knows what we truly need and He supplies it. How awesome is that! I guess everything else is a want and we don't really need it even if we think we do. In the days ahead we need to be really trusting God with our needs. Because things may get harder to obtain but God will supply us with those things somehow and some way. Only trust and obey as the song goes.

We need to also rely on God for the healing of our bodies. We live in an imperfect world with imperfect bodies but as in our needs we need to trust God. We know that He can heal us completely if that is His will but sometimes it isn't. That is a hard concept to understand but it is God. It is okay to question Him but He is the only One Who gives us hope and peace and we need to only trust Him on that also.

"Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
 then your righteousness will go before you, and
the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
Isaiah 58:7-9
"Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness."
Matthew 9:35

Just remember Jesus is our Healer and our Provider. Just keep trusting in Him and praising Him for what He has done for you. And He will do a work in your life.

Have a wonderful day!

Les
