Good morning to you!

It is very, very nippy this morning. Everything is white like it snowed but it is just frozen outside with a temperature of 29* at 7:30 AM. So, it was probably colder earlier. I love this time of year as I mentioned in an earlier blog. It will be in the high 50's today and clear blue skies. Praise the Lord! I know in the west the weather has been pretty nasty. So, we are blessed here at this time!

Today is a different day. 7 years ago today my Mom passed away. That was a very hard time in my life. But to make it simple, God helped me through it. Without God in my life I would be lost. He has given me peace and comfort and love and people in my life. I won't say I don't miss her because I do terribly and I would give anything to have her back. But she is definitely in a better place. Our world is not our eternal home. Heaven is. Praise God for that!

The Bible says that we are to live in the world but not be part of the world. In other words, God has put us here on earth for a reason, that is to fulfill His purposes, to do His will. But we are not to become worldly and love worldly things and so following evil and not God. We are either for God totally or for evil. There is no in between. So, we do the best we can to live for God in the evil world we live in and wait patiently for Him to take us home to our heavenly mansion. We must be ready and wait.

"I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.  While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled."
“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.  My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.  Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
 John 17:11-17

Jesus is talking to God here in prayer and praying for His people, us. Let us take heart and try our best to live for Jesus, watch and wait. For the time is coming soon when Jesus will split the skies and take His people home to live with Him.

Are you ready? Have you believed in Jesus and asked Him into your heart and made Him your Lord and Savior and Best Friend? Today is the day of salvation. Don't go another day without Him in your life. You don't have to be a perfect person to do this. Don't use the excuse that you have to clean up your life first. You don't! He will take you in His arms, dust you off, and clean you up and make you His own. And He could change you overnight or He could take a lifetime to change your life. It is all a growing and learning process. He loves you unconditionally and will never leave you or forsake you. Take Him up on it. You will be glad you did!

Have a wonderful day!
