Good morning on this         beautiful new day!
The days just fly by and before you know it, it will be Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years and 2013. Remember years ago it seemed that days and weeks and months were at a snails pace. Now it is quite the opposite. They fly by at the speed of light. I guess when you are young time seems to be at a standstill. But as we get older and older and busier and busier there doesn't seem to be enough time to do all the things we feel we need to do each day. That is the key: the things we feel we need to do. But what does God want us to do? He probably doesn't think we need to do all the things we do especially not all in one day. We have allowed ourselves to get caught up in the busyness of the world. Society is at such a fast pace. And with fast pace you get stressed out.
I was told one time by a friend that it is alright to say "NO". Sometimes you just have to say no and not do something just so you can spend time with Jesus, your husband, your kids, your grandkids, your friends. And that is ok! It is alright to take a few hours and read a book or watch a movie or do nothing for a little bit. Sometimes you just need to take a rest and breathe deeply and slow down. And not just on Sunday like I talked about yesterday. Don't feel guilty for taking time off and doing nothing. Now if you do that all the time well that is a different story. Try taking time for yourself periodically. It really lowers the stress level. Life can be full of stress and busywork. The devil loves for us to be busy and stressed because then we have less time for God. Try this!

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you. Come near to God
and He will come near to you. Wash your hands,
you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded......
Humble yourselves before the Lord,
and He will lift you up."
James 4:7-10

He will lift you up! Let Jesus lift you up. Ask Him what He wants you to do every day. That can only happen if we let Him lead us. So slow down a little. Say no sometimes. Spend some time doing something you want to do instead of always doing stuff you have to do. That stuff will still be there tomorrow and it will eventually get done. But let God's will be done. He will lift you up!

As the holidays get closer, we get busier also. Don't let the the day of thanksgiving and the birthday of Jesus and all the preparations stress you out. Start early and go slower. It will all get done. And let Jesus lift you up!

Have an awesome day!

Les
