BLESSINGS OF THE SPIRIT

Good morning to you!
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Ephesians 1:3
If you get a chance, read all the way through Ephesians 1:3-14. God has blessed us extraordinarily. I think that I spelled that right. Anyway, God has blessed us so much. He has a plan for our lives. He is preparing heaven for us. His one and only Son, died on the cross to get rid of our sin, so that we do not have to suffer eternally for our sin. Christ did that for us. If you have never watched The Passion of the Christ movie. You need to. It is very graphic and I have heard that as graphic as it is, it is still not as heinous as the real crucifixion was. But it really hits home about what Jesus did for us. It is very moving.

The movie is a depiction of the last twelve hours in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, on the day of his crucifixion in Jerusalem. It was made by Mel Gibson in 2004. It was filmed in Italy and produced here in the US. He actually made the movie with his own money, (because Hollywood wouldn't like the movie), and it made 370 million dollars at the box office. Whoa! It is worth your time to see it. It is actually on youtube.com and you can watch the whole movie. Yikes! But, it really helps us see the picture of what Jesus did for us, in giving His life. He did that for us, all of us!
Even though Jesus's crucifixion was a terrible thing, God thought that we were worth it. What a thought! He loves us that much and that is a great spiritual blessing for us. God blesses us in so many ways, and there are so many that we can't count them. Actually, we can count them but we could never finish because there are so many. But the spiritual blessings God gives us are even more important. They are eternal, everlasting, numerous. With Christ, God has given us all the blessings that heaven ever knew! That is so amazing! But God is that way, isn't He?

Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good.   Good morning to you! Has it been raining where you are? It rained pretty good last night here. We need it. Actually we will take it all just so we aren't in the drought category. I saw on the weather yesterday that a lot of the country is in a severe drought.  Are you in a severe drought spiritually? I hope not but if you are, here are some scriptures that might help.
