PASSION

Good morning to you!

I am ready for the beach. How about you? Even though the winter hasn't been bad and I like it, I am ready for the sun, sand and sea. And I have a long time to wait, October, unless we go to our daughter and son-in-law's in Florida before then. But I have something great to look forward to.

I love the beach. I was born in Santa Monica, CA and lived at the farthest 3 hours from the beach all my years in CA except for 14 when I was 4-5 hours away. And then 21 years since living in TN where we are 7 hours away. But when I still lived with my parents the farthest we lived was 20 miles away and the closest was 1 mile away. So, all my life the beach has been special to me. You can really see and feel God's love and closeness there in His creation.

The ocean covers 72 % of the earths surface. And I will bet there is a very high percentage of art work done of the ocean. I guess maybe there is also a high percentage of people who have a passion for the ocean. I might be one of them.

The word passion means powerful emotion, such as love, joy, hatred, or anger, ardent love, lust, the object of such love or desire, boundless enthusiasm, an abandoned display of emotion, especially of anger. (from online-The Free Dictionary). Ardent means burning, fiery, glowing, shining, expressing or characterized by warmth of feeling; passionate: an ardent lover; displaying or characterized by strong enthusiasm or devotion; fervent.

Now what I really want is a passion for Jesus. Do you have a ardent passion or love for Jesus? Do we have fiery or burning or fervent passion for our Jesus? If we do we won't just have Jesus as a part of our lives but all of our lives. I have mentioned before about Jesus being our all in all. Is He your all in all?

For to me, to live is Christ,
Philippians 1:21 a

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Deuteronomy 6:5

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:1-2

This is what we should do:
        Know God
        Pray constantly and consistently
        Walk closely with Him NOW
        Eliminate the competition
Do what it takes to grow your love and service for God   passionately

It is not an easy task to do these things in this world but we need to try. We aren't going to do everything just right. We may fail but then we pick ourselves up, with God's help, and keep trying, as Paul said, to win the race.

So, let us live and love with a passion for God like we never have before!

Have a passionate and lovely day!
