HAVE JOY

Good morning to you! Good morning to you!...

Did you know you can sing that to the tune of Happy Birthday? I certainly don't know why I am writing that but I pray you had a blessed night filled with love. I talked about the love of God yesterday. Love is the first fruit of the Fruit of the Spirit. Joy! The second.

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:3-6

Joy! Second Fruit of the Spirit. Do you have the joy of the Lord? I try to, but sometimes it is hard. I need to do better. Since I hurt my back, my joy scale has fallen a bit. I thought that I was doing better and then I got hurting worse again and so I was feeling kind of down. It is funny that you don't mean to, but you just do. But today I was listening to praise songs this morning and I just started feeling better and my joy went up several notches.

This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve,
for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10b

I shall not grieve anymore about my back. I will thank and praise the Lord that He has healed me by Jesus stripes. My strength comes from the Lord. He is my joy and my strength. He gives joy to my heart and light to my eyes. When I have His light in my eyes, I can see His works and commands  more clearly.

The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to
the heart. The commands of the LORD are
radiant, giving light to the eyes.
Psalm 19:8

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us
shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Psalm 95:1

Let's fill our hearts with God's joy and sing for joy to the Lord. For He is worthy! "For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise" as it says in 1 Chronicles 16:25. And that He is! Oh, I just want to sing for joy to the Lord. For He is good.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
Revelation 4:11

You are loved by the Lord. So, therefore, be filled with His love and His joy as you start each day. Praise the Lord and love Him and serve Him and seek Him daily.

Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
I will praise the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Psalm 146:1-2

Have a blessed day!
