GOD'S FAVOR

Good morning on this freezy day!

We are supposed to be having an ice storm of sorts. The temperature is supposed to drop with the rain falling and wallah! Ice! Hopefully the roads are warm enough and salted enough that it won't freeze the roads. I do need to go out today and with God's favor I will be able to.

You know that God is good all the time. I have talked about that quite a lot. That is because it is so true. But God just might be showing His favor upon us. Let's see what scripture says.

“But now entreat God’s favor, That
He may be gracious to us..."
Malachi 1:9a

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual
blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Ephesians 1:3

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God
and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting
consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your
hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and
shall obtain favour of the LORD.
Proverbs 8:35 KJV

Two of the definitions of favor are: A gracious, friendly, or obliging act that is freely granted; Something given as a token of love, affection, or remembrance. So, God's favor would also be considered blessing, or kindness, whatever good thing that God gives us.

Well, in that case, God favors us more than we can imagine. And the amount of scriptures that imply favor are many. Of course, we should know that. He loves us so very much and when we follow Him, He shows us favor. But there are times in our life that we especially need God's favor, for a job interview, or something like that.

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With
favor You will surround him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:12

Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward
Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation,
Psalm 106:4

So, as God's people we are favored by Him. When we find Him, we find life and we shall obtain favor of the Lord. Have you found Him! Have you found life? Have you found favor with the Lord?

Scripture says we can and we will if we believe. If you have not found Jesus, today is the day of salvation. Now is the time before it is too late. We live in an uncertain time, an uncertain world. We don't know what each day will bring. But when Jesus lives in you, all that other really doesn't matter. Belief in Jesus is the only thing that matters. It is eternal, the rest is all temporary.

So, make the right choice today. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6

Have an awesome day!
