FEELINGS

Good morning to you on this fine Monday!

Hope you had a blessed weekend. We did. Friday and Saturday were filled with a Ladies Conference with friends which I mentioned on Saturday. It was really good. I enjoyed it very much.

Yesterday at church was amazing. The grandson of a couple at church is a missionary in Mongolia. He is there in the summer and comes home for the winter since the temp there is -50* at that time of the year and people there don't go out. But it was amazing. And the young man was amazing. What a call God has on his life.

The choir started yesterday and they had not sung since we have been at the church. It was great. The worship was great. The people were great. Lots of guests. It was just one of the special worship moments when God was very present.

God is always present with us but sometimes you can feel it more than others. I guess it depends on where your heart is at that time. If we are totally devoted to God at the time and are not thinking of other things like, is it time to go home yet, or I am so hungry or what are we going to do today after church, then just maybe you can feel His presence.

I once was told that feelings aren't involved in loving or worshipping God. Oh, I don't know about that. It is like loving your husband sort of. You can tell yourself "I love my friend or husband or someone else" a million times but if you don't truly feel it in your heart you may not really love that much.

I don't know, I may be wrong. But I think that we have to feel something for everyone or everything in order to truly care for someone or something.

Am I making sense? Maybe not. But I am sure that not everyone can feel God's presence. We know He is with us but we have to know that by faith not feelings.

Honor and majesty are [found] in His
presence; strength and joy are
[found] in His sanctuary.

And He said, “My Presence will go
with you, and I will give you rest.”
~ Exodus 33: 14

You will show me the path of life; In
Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your
 right hand are pleasures forevermore.
~ Psalm 16: 11

Do not cast me away from Your presence,
and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
~ Psalm 51: 11

Repent therefore and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come
from the presence of the Lord.

So, God is with us always when we believe and give our all to Him. We may or may not feel his presence. But that doesn't mean that He isn't with us. By faith we believe. By faith we know He is with us. By faith we know that He loves us. He is not with us in the physical to say I love you or give you a hug. But yes maybe He is by using other people like us.
Have a blessed day!
