GIFTS

Good morning on this great Saturday!

This is a pre-day of rest. A time to do what you want to or can do if you don't have to go to work. Hopefully it will be a beautiful day! The rain days start again on Monday. We are more than 20 inches above normal in rainfall. Wow! At least it was. I am not sure now. But that is a lot of rain above what it normally does. What will God bring to us this fall?

God brings us a lot of wonderful things. He brought us His Son to save us from our sins. Not His sins but ours. He never sinned. He brings us blessings of all kinds. He gave us our families and friends. He gives us our jobs. He gives us all of creation to enjoy. Everything good comes from God.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of  
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. 
Romans 6:23 
 
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give 
good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Matthew 7:11 
 
 Every good and perfect gift is from above, 
coming down from the Father of the heavenly 
lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  
James 1:17

So, as you can see from these scriptures we have many blessings or gifts from God. We love to receive gifts from our family or friends, but the gifts from God are eternal. As Christians we can receive all that God has to offer and that is more than we could ever imagine.

With God’s power working in us, God can do much, 
much more than anything we can ask or imagine. 
Ephesians 3:20

I took this picture yesterday. It was amazing!   Good morning to you on  this blessed and chilly day! May God fill you with His love and His Spirit. He is awesome! He is miraculous! He is the great I AM! He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last! He is our Lord of lords and King of kings. He is my Savior! Is He yours? Jesus is coming back soon. Do you know Him? Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
