JESUS CARES

Wednesday

Good morning to you!

I pray that yesterday was a blessing to you. It was for me. I got to spend the night with my son and family. But when I saw my poor little grandson in such pain it just broke my heart. He is so little. Well, I guess 4 years isn't so little but he is.

Anyway, I heard the baseball being hit and then my son and daughter-in-law jump up and run. I saw the little boy screaming but didn't even realize that he was my grandson. Then it hit me. Sometimes I am a little slow I guess. They took him to the ER and they looked and said take him home and give him Tylenol and rest. I couldn't believe they didn't check him for concussion. Anyway, he was hit right above the right eye. That other little boy only 5 or 6 really hit that ball hard.

I don't like seeing anyone hurt so much but my own grandson, oh my. It just kills you inside just a little. My precious little boy!

I guess that is how God must feel when we are hurting. He hurts also.

In all their distress he too was distressed,
    and the angel of his presence saved them.
In his love and mercy he redeemed them;
    he lifted them up and carried them
    all the days of old.
Isaiah 63:9

Remember Jesus wept when Lazarus was dead. Jesus was hurting when His friend died. He cares that much for us also. He cares enough for us that He died on a cross for our sins. He cares enough for us that today He sits at the right hand of God His Father and intercedes for us. He cares enough for us that He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us when He wouldn't be. He cares enough that He will take us to heaven to live with Him for eternity. He cares. He loves.
Have a fantastic day!
