Good morning!

How are you this fine day? I pray that all is well. I can't sleep and it is about 3 AM. I can't just lay there. I got up to go to the bathroom and then can't go back to sleep. Now this doesn't happen every day but it does seem to happen during a very busy week when I have much to do. I want to go back to sleep, it just doesn't seem to happen. I pray and pray and still can't sleep.

I had a very interesting thing happen to me yesterday. I gave a flyer to someone for our Fall Festival yesterday. She mentioned how she didn't know anything about church. She didn't even know the vocabulary words--baptism, evangelist, and a few more words. I thought this is strange. She had never set foot in a church in her life and neither had her husband. Then she preceded to tell me that her mother and her grandmother were witches. And she told me more. And that was all she knew. Oh my!

My husband has spent time at church preaching about spiritual warfare but I really didn't think anything like that would come before me in such a big way. I was praying "Lord give me the words to say" under my breath. Well, I told her a few things and then wondered how long she was going to talk to me. The longer she talked the more I had to say. And I was stunned. I have never come upon that sort of situation before. I was nervous to say the least because I wanted to say the right thing.

God gave me the words to say. And I pray that the opportunity comes up again and I can say more for the Lord.

I was very nervous and anxious during the day before this happened and now I know why. I had to come against the feelings in the Name of Jesus. And then after a thing like this happens the devil tries to tell you that you didn't say the right thing, etc.

But God is bigger than any situation and He will help us the whole way if we will listen and do what He says.

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 

 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of 

this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the 

spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

Ephesians 2:1-2 

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but 

against the rulers, against the authorities, against the 

powers of this dark world and against the spiritual 

forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 

Ephesians 6:12

That is why we need God so badly. We cannot fight the forces of evil on our own. Prayer, trusting God, and studying the scriptures is the only way to come against these things. I am not saying that this lady was evil but we are either for God or against Him. Even though she said she believes in God it is not the same way that we believe in God. And I don't even want to go there. I just want to know how to deal with this in a godly way for the future. We all need to know these things in case it ever happens to us.

So, "study to shew thyself approved." Trust God and spend much time in prayer for evil lurks around every corner.

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed 

us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:13-14
