TRUST IN HIM

Tuesday

Good morning to you!

May this be a blessed day for you, my precious reader! I am so blessed to have you, for without you this would be pointless.

I was reading the scripture this morning about David and Saul from the point of David slaying Goliath. It is in 1 Samuel 17 and I kept reading all the way through chapter 26. I keep thinking about how David trusted God so much that he could even slay a giant and without fear. Then later on he was being chased by Saul. He new by his friend, Jonathan, Saul's son, that Saul was out to kill him. He kept running and hiding where he needed to and also trusted God so much that he just did what he had to do. He had several opportunities to kill Saul in self-defense but chose to follow God's way and not do it.

Am I doing what I have to do and trusting God all the way? Am I doing God's will? Do we get afraid so much that we trust ourselves to get through it without seeking God first? Oh, my! Lord forgive us where we fail thee!

We do trust God in our own way but maybe not totally His way. That is what we must seek to do, to trust God His way.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
Psalm 28:7

So, in all reality we don't have a choice. We must trust Him if we know Him. Do you know Him? Do you know the Jesus that I know? Do you truly trust in Him not only for your salvation but with your life?

If you don't:

For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2

Now is the day of salvation. We don't know what the future holds. But as Christians we know that we need Jesus as our Lord and Savior. If you have not asked Jesus to be that Savior, you need to do it before it is too late. Jesus is coming back. And when He does, if you don't know Him, it will be too late. I sure hope that you want to go to heaven because the alternative will not be pretty.

So, give your heart to Jesus today and read His Word, find a church of God's Word, and see how to live for Him. And seek His face and trust Him because your life depends on it.

Have a tremendous day!
