COMFORT IN GOD
Good morning! It is Sunday. It seems as though it is Sunday before you know it, and every week. We get to worship the Lord with our church family. Praise the Lord! His love endures forever.
The ladies conference was great. It was very different this year but change is not necessarily a bad thing. We just don't like change. But it is good for you. It helps to keep you from being in a rut. And who wants to be in a rut. Well, my rut is good. I like my comfort zone. But I certainly don't need to stay there.
Well, God doesn't want us to stay in our comfort zone. He wants us to have faith in Him, in whatever He calls us to do, so that when we do the uncomfortable things in life, our life truly begins. He wants us to trust Him as we try new things. He wants us to be obedient to Him, and His will is not always in our comfort zone. And if we want to be in His will, then we must climb out of our comfort zone.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch
your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if
you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
1 Timothy 4:12-16
Do these things and you will definitely be out of your comfort zone. And that is okay. We need to depend on God to lead, guide and direct us. And sometimes it is not going to be pretty. But God will lead us through and give us grace to persevere and in the end He will tell us "Well done, good and faithful servant." Praise God!
Have a magnificent day!
