BE A DOER FOR JESUS
Good morning to you this fine day!
I pray that you had a blessed and awesome day yesterday. I didn't do much. I did a little laundry from our trip and worked on the pictures I took and some catching up on communication with some people and I celebrated my birthday. I had a great day. My husband fixed me an awesome salmon dinner and I opened a gift from a friend. It was just kind of a lazy day.
My husband told me to lay around and read all day but I just can't seem to let myself do that. I feel guilty for some reason when I do that. I guess it is because when I was working and had summers off, I did it one summer. One day turned into two. And two turned into three and so on. I ended up doing that all summer. And then I vowed I would never do it again. I felt as though the summer passed me by and that I had been very lazy and unproductive.
I did do laundry and the things that I needed to do but other than that I didn't do much. And it really bothered me for a long time. But I just don't want to go there again.
I would imagine we all have little things from our past that we don't want to revisit-good and bad things. I know I do. And even though being lazy isn't a bad thing, I felt like it was because it was something that I could do all the time and I didn't want to go there. Then I would have regrets and be mad at myself for a long time, and wouldn't get anything done.
To a point I am lazy. I don't do much yard work anymore. But part of that reason is because I have allergies and spending a lot of time outside bothers my breathing system. And I don't want to go there.
No matter what we do or don't do, God loves us anyway. Of course, He wants us to take care of things in our lives. He wants us to do what we should to live for Him. He wants us to love Him with all of our being. He tells us so.
Dear friends, let us love one another,
for love comes from God. Everyone who
loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7
He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your strength and with all your
mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Luke 10:27
He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
Now all has been heard; here is the
conclusion of
the matter: Fear
God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty
of man.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
Have a wonderful day!
