LET GO AND LET GOD

Good morning on this fine Thursday!

How are you doing? I pray all is well with you, my reader. As I have said before thank you for reading because without you there would be no reason to write this blog. And I thank God for giving this to me. Without Him there would be no one to write about. God is so good and awesome!

We have been sleeping late. Unusual for us. My husband didn't get up until after 7:30 and he usually is up at 4:30 or 5 am. And I woke up about 7:45 and I am usually up by 6:30. But it feels so good to sleep in. I don't like doing it at home but on vacation if feels good. Of course, I am more tired on vacation than at home. We spent most of the day shopping yesterday but before shopping we were in the pool and jacuzzi. Then after shopping we went to the beach. Then after the beach we went out to dinner and didn't eat until 8:30, which is way late for us. And of course we also were out for lunch in between all of that. I guess I will need a starvation diet when I get home. But the food has been marvelous. And so has the company we are keeping.

Please pray for a young couple that I know. They have gone to Africa to get a little boy to adopt. They have been there a week and haven't been given a paper to exit the country and come home. They are very anxious and are asking for a miracle. The little boy is absolutely adorable.

And God is the God of miracles. We just have to ask. Jesus fed the 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish. Jesus turned water into wine. Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood and many, many more. Jesus commanded the demons to leave Legion and go into the swine. Jesus calmed the winds.

Jesus can still do these things. He is the Miracle-worker. All we have to do is ask. Sometimes we do get what we ask for, sometimes He answers differently. He knows what is best for us. He knows what we need when we ask. When things don't happen the way we want that is for Him to know, not us. That is why He is God. We just have to believe, and trust and obey. And we are not to fear.

So, let's do our part and He will do His part. We are not to try to do God's part. He is in control. And He loves us enough to answer our prayers in the perfect way.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide
in you, you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you.
John 15:7

Do not be anxious about anything but
in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests
to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Have an awesome day!
