SEEK YE FIRST

 

Good morning on this Sabbath Day!

You, Oh God, are so marvelous! How great thou art!

I almost forgot to write this blog this morning. I was fixing my smoothie for breakfast and God reminded me that I hadn't written it. Forgive me, Lord!

Sunday mornings are always different. I need to jump out of bed and get moving and as I get older it is harder to do that. I don't want to say I am lazy but maybe I am. I don't want to be. I have always been one who gets up and gets moving early but have to be somewhere. Now, I normally don't have to be somewhere. So, I have gotten used to moving slower in the morning. Some days my husband will call after lunch and say that he thought I was going somewhere and I haven't even left yet. But why move early if I don't have to.

As long as we do the things of God, the rest really doesn't matter. I do spend time with God in the morning reading and studying His Word, talking to Him. Not always singing to Him but a lot of days I do. We still have other things to do, you know the responsibilities of life. But as long as we put Jesus first, the rest will fall into place. The other things will happen because God knows what we need to do in life.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  
Matthew 6:33

Seek the LORD and his strength, 
seek his face continually.
1 Chronicles 16:11

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found , call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6-7

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:22

So, let's seek God first and do the things He has called us to do, in the Kingdom and our lives, and let it all glorify God.

KNOW HIM

I took this picture yesterday. It was amazing!   Good morning to you on  this blessed and chilly day! May God fill you with His love and His Spirit. He is awesome! He is miraculous! He is the great I AM! He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last! He is our Lord of lords and King of kings. He is my Savior! Is He yours? Jesus is coming back soon. Do you know Him? Saturday Good morning to you! The beach is waiting. I can't wait to get away. To rest. To regenerate. To be revived. And sometimes we just need to get away from our daily routine in order to do that. Get away from the phone and stuff like that. Unfortunately, with cell phones, these days we don't get away from the calls. It never fails that we go on vacation and always someone calls about my husband's work, either a person that works for him or someone wanting to get work done. But in all reality that is good. It means that the business is not dead. Praise the Lord for that! The beach does so much for me. I have the best time and the most relaxing time at the beach. I guess it is in my blood. I was born at the beach (a town at the beach). I lived near the beach for about 15 of my growing up years. My grandparents built a house in Malibu, CA overlooking the ocean when I was a kid.
