BE SATISFIED

Thursday

 Good morning to you!

How are you this great day? I pray that you had a blessed day yesterday and maybe a great evening at church. We did! Our discipleship Bible study on Wednesday morning is awesome and is going to be even more awesome. We just finished the first lesson yesterday. There is so much to learn.

Do you have a hunger for more of God? I sure hope so. We are supposed to be hungering for God all the time. We should be wanting to know more of Him and how to be more Christ-like. If you don't have that hunger for the things of God I will be praying for you. And you can pray and ask God for that hunger and thirst for Him.

When he was in the Desert of Judah. You,
God, are my God, earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you, my whole being longs for
you, in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.
Psalm 63:1

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst
for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Matthew 5:6

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33

But if from there you seek the Lord your
God, you will find him if you seek him
with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of
those who seek the LORD rejoice.Look
to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
1 Chronicles 16:10-11

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all
the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty
of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Psalm 27:4

I know that I have said this before but there are so many scriptures out there that talk about seeking God. There are countless scriptures about everything. He wants us to seek Him, to have a hunger and thirst for Him. And the only way to do that is to seek Him. To talk to Him in prayer, to read His Word, to go to church and hear His Word.

If you are going to a church that doesn't preach from the Word of God, you need to find one that does. That is a hard word, but you do. You can't learn the things of God from a sermon that doesn't talk about God using His Word.

So, think about it. Pray about it. Do it! Seek God in a way that you have never done before. And He will satisfy your hunger and thirst.

On the last and greatest day of the festival,
Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let
anyone who is thirsty come to me and
drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has
said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
John 7:37-38

Have a satisfying day!
