RECEIVE FROM GOD
Friday
Good morning on this blessed day!
May God bless you and fill you with His peace. He can really do that if you let Him. If you will receive it. If we would calm down long enough to think of Jesus, worship Jesus, talk to Jesus, fill our hearts with Jesus, read His Word. Spend quality time with our Savior.
This peace of God is a gift from Him. Everything from God is a gift which is a blessing. But we have to slow down long enough to realize it is there sometimes. We go 90 miles an hour in our daily lives and don't stop long enough to breathe. To relax. To rest in His love and peace.
And I guess I am good at not slowing down either. But I am trying harder to do that. I want to please God and I think that sometimes all He wants is our attention. We don't have to do anything but rest in Him. I think: how hard can that be? Well, if we are going full speed, it can be hard to receive. We may miss it.
First, pray: Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Read His Word: For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
Worship Him: Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
1 Chronicles 16:29
Receive from God: They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior.
Psalm 24:5
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:9
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4
All of this comes from the Lord and so much more. I hope this makes sense to you because I want God to fill you with His peace.
Have a peaceful day!
